We’ve got a little something different to share with you all, and it’s definitely one for those MMORPG fans of a certain vintage or taste. It’s a little indie browser title that’s slower paced, text-based, and more tactical and character-forward according to its developer. This is Nullspire.
“Nullspire is a multiplayer, text-based RPG set in a grim cyberpunk world fractured by corporate ambition. The Nexatech Corporation’s experiments with quantum threading—a technology capable of rewriting reality—have torn open rifts, unleashed anomalies, and ignited global conflict.”
This MMO has been put together by a solo dev known as Kixt, who officially launched it this past weekend. The game offers turn-based battles with a point-based action economy, full crafting as well as a player-run economy, cooperative PvE and 1v1 PvP dueling, and the ability for players’ organizations to hold control over world regions to earn rewards. Six different classes can be selected, each with the promise of deep progression and build customization.
Since the game is browser-based, players can simply create an account and hop into the game right now for free. And if they just so happen to like what they see, then they can support the dev directly if they so wish. Again, this might not be for everyone, but we do like seeing something new and distinct in our space regardless.
