Ports of the Myst and Riven remakes are landing on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2 on May 19.

Cyan Worlds, developers of the legendary adventure game Myst and its sequel Riven, announced today via the PlayStation Blog that ports of the remakes of both games are coming to PlayStation VR2 on May 19. The Myst and Riven remakes first debuted in 2020 and 2024 respectively, and have previously been released on PC VR via Steam and on Meta’s headsets.

The upcoming release marks the first time the remade games have appeared on the PlayStation ecosystem. They’ll be fully playable on both flat screens, and via PlayStation VR2.

We reviewed both games when they previously debuted on Quest and PC VR. Check out those reviews here: Myst and Riven.

The original games that these remakes are based upon first released in 1993 and 1997. Myst was the best-selling PC game overall for nearly a decade, and a phenomenon that defined PC gaming in the ’90s. Its sequel, Riven, expanded the series’ lore and pushed the storytelling boundaries of what PC gaming could achieve. For many gamers of the era, Myst and Riven were landmark titles and pioneers of immersion through imagination. With the remakes playable in VR, total immersion has never been closer.

The Myst and Riven remakes will be available on May 19 via the PlayStation Store for $34.99 each.
