For those who fantasize about being part of historical conflicts without the disease, wounds, and poor sleeping conditions, Holdfast: Nations at War has the perfect solution. This multiplayer shooter has offered a tour through some of the biggest wars of the 19th and early 20th centuries, including the Napoleonic Wars and World War I as up to 150 players duke it out on the battlefields.
Now the scope of this title aims to expand all the way back to the 1700s with the release of its American Revolution expansion this week. It’s also expanding the scope of its platforms, releasing on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles.
“Featuring Holdfast’s infamously chaotic 75v75 player, proximity chat-packed battles, the expansion visits iconic locations/battles from the Revolutionary War, such as Washington’s famous crossing of the Delaware River, and Boston’s harbour, which is full of tea, naturally,” Anvil Game Studios said.
