The character list for MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls has been widely known for months, but there is a secret unlockable and playable character beyond the 20 in the initial roster. Unlocking this character is fairly easy, but will require some time for those of you that are impatient.
This is a quick guide to unlocking the secret 21st playable character known as The Champion, in MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls.
How To Unlock The Champion Secret Character
Simply complete any single one of the Episodes, start to finish, in order to unlock The Champion. Despite the storylines being distinct, all paths eventually converge on a final confrontation with him.
The remaining storylines have some bearing on other unlocks including a color scheme and various achievements/trophies, in case you need some incentive to remain engaged with story mode as a whole.
While sitting through multiple chapters of even a single Episode may seem daunting, with all of their cutscenes and comics, you can simply skip the narrative devices in order to quicken the pace. It is entirely possible to speed through the entire process within less than an hour at most.
At the end you will first battle The Promoter, followed by multiple forms of The Champion himself with ever-escalating difficulty in power and moves. Defeating him will complete the unlock after the credits roll.
The Promoter cannot be unlocked as a playable character.
