InZOI developer and producer Kjun has followed up on the life simulation game’s upcoming December update, discussing the announced Celebrity DLC and a separate set of experimental build-mode features under consideration.

The celebrity content was first shown in a developer diary on Oct. 23. The preview introduced auditions, artist formation, choreography, concerts and a new city called Evermont. The planned activities are centered on creating an artist’s career and shaping that character’s life story, with options to perform as a solo act, a group or a band.

“Since we revealed the celebrity update (auditions, group formation, choreography, concerts, and the new city of Evermont) in Brainstorm with Kjun on October 23, we’ve seen so much excitement across the Forum, Discord, Reddit, and YouTube.” — InZOI Director and Producer Kjun

In the follow-up published as part of the Oct. 28 weekly catch-up, Kjun addressed player feedback about how fame should function in the game. Players suggested that the system should cover more than idol careers and should not be reduced to a single numerical value. Ideas mentioned in the discussion included careers for actors, models, influencers, solo artists, rock bands and jazz singers.

Kjun described the material shown in the Oct. 23 video as a preview of the artist career rather than a complete outline of every type of celebrity activity. The preview includes creating a solo act, group or band, performing on stage and developing an artist’s personal story. He said further activities would be discussed in a future update.

The developer also addressed suggestions that fame should require more work. Player ideas included beginning with performances in bars and cafes, allowing skill to affect a show, having audiences respond to poor performances and using rumors or rivalries to change a character’s story. Kjun said the team was reviewing those ideas, particularly the relationship between fame, personality and relationships.

Experimental building features

Alongside the follow-up about the Celebrity DLC, the latest developer discussion focused on experimental build-mode work. Some of the features shown remain in testing and may not be added to the game. The update therefore separates the December content that has been revealed from building concepts that are still being evaluated.

The shift in emphasis follows the previous week’s larger celebrity reveal. Kjun’s message thanked players for their responses across the game’s forum, Discord, Reddit and YouTube communities and specifically noted feedback about the dances, music and concerts. He said those reactions would be passed to the animation and music teams.

InZOI’s December update is set to include the Celebrity DLC, with the announced material covering artist creation, stage performances, concerts and Evermont. The developer’s latest discussion also establishes that additional fame-related ideas and experimental building features remain part of the ongoing development conversation.
