Hot Wheels Infinite Rush Trailer Shows Off Its Open World and Beautiful Islands

We were a little curious to see how Hot Wheels Infinite Rush was going to approach its world design back when Milestone first revealed the game at Summer Game Fest. Well, we’ve just got a new trailer that shows (courtesy of IGN) off the four playable islands and a lot of freedom to zoom back and forth between them, as you lose yourself around every corner.

The visuals are stunning, as set-themed races are interspersed with well-made streets that are just waiting for you to stir up some trouble, their destructible environments so well-made that you might even try to avoid crashing through them. We’re especially eager to drive through the serene forests and pagodas of the Drifty Temples Island, but we’re also going to try and get a glimpse of a very familiar gorilla in Wheelswood Island. Meanwhile, a similarly familiar-looking squid lingers around Tentacle Bay Island.

Of course, there’s that Ferrari-themed island that’s exclusive to owners of the game’s Ultimate Edition or the Ferrari Expansion Pack. All in all, it’s looking like it’s going to be quite easy to find things to do, especially in a world that’s built around speed and enjoyable challenges. We’re already revving our imaginary engines in anticipation of all the thrills we’re expecting to find in this one when it launches on September 24th.
