Green Hell VR Brings A Painting & Building Update To PlayStation VR2 & Meta Quest

Green Hell VR’s latest update adds a splash of color to your camps on Meta Quest and PlayStation VR2.

The free update is available for both platforms. Developer Incuvo featured the update at this week’s VR Games Showcase:

To paint, you simply have to craft a painting brush and bowl (both crafting formulas were added in the update) and get to work. Aside from painting, the update adds two new modular structures, triangle frames & plank structures, to help diversify building out a camp.

With the update come two new paid cosmetic packs, the Art Instructor Pack for $2.99 and Painter Pack for $1.99, and a free anniversary shirt to commemorate Green Hell VR reaching one million players on the Quest platform.

This obviously leaves out the SteamVR version of the game. Earlier this year, we reported on Incuvo’s intent to port the PS VR2 version of the game to PC VR this summer. This would include the more linear version of the main campaign PlayStation VR2 shares with the Quest version. Incuvo posted an update to the roadmap in June saying this plan has shifted to fall due to the need for more testing. Existing Steam owners will get the new version for free, but the original PC VR version will reportedly remain unaffected, so presumably there will be two branches of the game, with the new one getting all of the recent content updates.

Green Hell VR is available now on PS VR2, Quest, and Steam.
