You have just three days left to claim this month’s Humble Choice games and bag yourself $249.99 worth of fantastic adventures for just $14.99. All these titles are either Steam Deck Verified or Playable, making them ideal for firing up on your choice of gaming handheld, with the highlight being the open-world, platforming fun of Sonic Frontiers.

The Steam Deck has very much earned the title of ‘best gaming handheld,’ but this list of games should work great on whatever handheld you’re using. Whether it’s the turn-based strategy of Metal Slug Tactics or the dungeon-diving roguelike of Wizard of Legend 2, there’s a game here to suit just about anyone. With Humble Choice being available for just $14.99, with the ability to cancel your subscription at any time, you can have the lot for an incredibly low price.

Breaking down the numbers for this month’s Humble Choice, for an initial $14.99, you get $249.99 worth of games, saving you $234.93 against the total MSRP of these games on Steam. Some are older titles, and you might not be won over by every game, but even if you just play a couple of them, you’ve made a big saving.

The way Humble Choice works is that you sign up for a monthly subscription at a cost of $14.99, and each month a new selection of eight games is made available to you for free. The games vary greatly, but are nearly always worth a total of well over $200. The best part, though, is that you can cancel your subscription at any time – the games are yours to keep forever. So, if a new set of games arrives that you don’t like, or perhaps you own many of them already, you can opt to skip a month. To grab your subscription, click on this link here.

Here are the Humble Choice games for January 2026:

  • Sonic Frontiers – Steam Deck Verified
  • Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered – Steam Deck Verified
  • Hunt: Showdown 1896 – Steam Deck Playable
  • Etrian Odyssey II HD – Steam Deck Verified
  • Nice Day for Fishing – Steam Deck Verified
  • Metal Slug Tactics – Steam Deck Playable
  • Settlement Survival – Steam Deck Playable
  • Wizard of Legend 2 – Steam Deck Playable

Sonic Frontiers is the standout title of this bunch, as, despite being three years old, it’s still $59.99 on Steam, so you’re making a massive saving on that game alone. Widely celebrated as one of the best Sonic games of recent times, Sonic Frontiers takes our beloved blue barrelroller on an open-world adventure that, despite having snazzier graphics than old-school Sonic titles, is still plenty playable on Steam Deck.

As for Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered, does it even need an introduction? With (slightly) updated graphics and compatibility with modern systems, this is a great opportunity to play the classic trio of early ’00s Tomb Raider titles.

Another highlight, for me at least, is the addition of Nice Day for Fishing. As a fan of the Viva La Dirt League YouTube Channel, who collaborated in creating this title, this delightful RPG pixel adventure sees you play as “Baelin the humble fisherman,” and is perfect fun fodder for playing on a handheld.

There are plenty of other great games in this bundle, plus this month’s installment includes one month of IGN Plus, which gets you “unlimited use of IGN’s in-game maps and guides, free games, and even disabling ads across the site.” Plus, you can take part in the playtest of Handmancers, a new rock, paper, scissors roguelike game.

All in all, this is just a fantastic-value set of games that I can’t wait to load up on my Steam Deck. But, again, you don’t have long to grab this selection. Next month’s choices arrive on Tuesday February 3, at which point a whole new set of games will replace these ones.
