Santa Monica Studio has announced that pre-orders for God of War Laufey will go live on September 29th at 10 AM local time. It’s also revealed details on the Standard and Deluxe Editions.
Pre-ordering either version nets the Last Wish Armor Set, an in-game resource pack and a Golden Leaves Appearance for Phranque, the Cosmic Cube. The armor set is unlockable through story progression – pre-ordering makes it available early. The Standard Edition will have digital and physical versions, with the latter confirmed to feature a disc.
As for the Deluxe Edition, which is digital only, it includes the Dark Alchemy Armor Set, Blade, Bow Scales and Catalyst – all available, once again, by progressing through the story. Other goodies include a digital mini artbook and the official digital soundtrack alongside the aforementioned resource pack.
A new God of War without a physical Collector’s Edition is certainly odd, but maybe Santa Monica Studio will reveal more details down the line. Given how impressive Ragnarok looked, there’s no doubt this could go even further.
God of War Laufey launches on February 16th, 2027, exclusively for PS5. It follows Kratos’ wife, Faye, as she explores the Everywhen, seeking a way back to her family and challenging other mythological figures in the process.
