Forza Horizon 6’s Campaign Embraces the Competitive Racing and Discovery Aspects of Japan

Playground Games has revealed more details about the campaign for Forza Horizon 6, which sees players venturing to Japan to take part in the Horizon Festival. This time, however, they start as a tourist who must work their way up by competing in races and earning Wristbands.

The first is awarded upon finishing the Horizon Qualifiers and Invitational, and subsequent races will see them branch out into different kinds of events, including Cross Country and Dirt. Car themes will start to emerge as you finish more races and knock out any PR Stunts and Skills. However, you also unlock the Race Customizer with each race completion, allowing you to customize every facet of it.

Earning the next Wristband means completing a Wristband Event, including the series’ signature Showcase Events. You can also look forward to venturing to Sotoyama Ski Resort, Irokawa Space Center, and Tokyo City Docks to take part in new Horizon Rush events. These are essentially obstacle courses, with the fastest times receiving three stars.

You’ll receive access to Legend Island by completing seven Festival Wristbands. What does it hold for the top-tier racers? The Legend Island Circuit and the Colossus, the latter spanning the entire map’s freeway.

Of course, in between earning Wristbands, you’ll essentially discover Japan, collecting new cars, experiencing Horizon Stories, partaking in Street Races, and even testing your skills in Touge Races. Upon collecting enough Stamps, new houses become available to purchase. It also provides leads on Barn Finds and access to The Estate, which is like a personal base that you can customize.

Overall, it’s quite extensive, and we can’t wait to dive in when Forza Horizon 6 launches on May 19th for Xbox Series X/S and PC. The PS5 version is available later this year, but cross-save is supported, so you can start on, say, Steam, and move over later.
