Duck Side of the Moon is coming to PlayStation 5, and its upcoming Homegrown update will launch on Nov. 17, 2026, across PS5, Steam, Nintendo Switch and the Epic Games Store.

The announcement was included in a new trailer for the exploration adventure game. The video highlights the Homegrown update while confirming the PlayStation 5 version, giving the game a new console platform alongside its existing PC and Nintendo Switch release footprint.

A new platform and an update

On Nov. 17, Homegrown will arrive on four platforms: PlayStation 5, Steam, Nintendo Switch and the Epic Games Store. The update is also scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 on the same date as the game’s console release.

  • PlayStation 5: Duck Side of the Moon and the Homegrown update arrive Nov. 17.
  • Steam, Nintendo Switch and the Epic Games Store: The Homegrown update arrives Nov. 17.

Duck Side of the Moon follows a duck astronaut who has become stranded in space and is trying to find a way home. Players explore the galaxy, search for creatures and materials, craft gadgets and upgrade the astronaut’s spaceship.

The game’s exploration is built around moving through space as the duck astronaut, with both walking and flying included in the premise. The announcement trailer focuses on the game’s relaxed exploration format and the content planned for Homegrown rather than providing a detailed breakdown of the update’s individual features.

Duck Side of the Moon’s story centers on the astronaut’s effort to return home after being left in space. Its announced activities include exploring different parts of the galaxy, locating unusual creatures and materials, building gadgets and improving the ship used during the journey.
