Death Stranding 2 Director “Didn’t Have Much Time for Editing Today,” Teases A New Trailer Again

Death, taxes, and Hideo Kojima teasing his fans – these are the three absolutes in life, and I won’t hear any evidence to the contrary. After tweeting an image last week about how he was “editing for the first time in eight months” (read: since the last Death Stranding 2 trailer), Kojima posted another of his workstation. The words “A Hideo Kojima Game” are clear as day, pretty much confirming, yet again, that a new trailer is on the way.

Ironically enough, Kojima said he “didn’t have much time for editing today.” Perhaps busy with other projects? If a reveal at State of Play, confirmed for February 12th at 2 PM PST, is indeed happening, one would think this trailer is done.

Your guess is as good as ours as to what this could be – the file names on the timeline and project pane are indiscernible, after all. Regardless, many are speculating that Kojima Productions will announce Death Stranding 2: On the Beach – Director’s Cut, which should also mark its PC debut. It’s a safe enough bet, especially after the Entertainment Software Ratings Board spilt the beans last November.

But who’s to say the man can’t drop a new trailer for Physint, perhaps revealing more cast members? Maybe confirmation that Robert Pattinson is playing the protagonist? Time will tell, and with State of Play just a few days away, we won’t have to wait long to find out.
