Pearl Abyss has released Title Update 2.04.00 for Crimson Desert Enhanced, adding a broad set of new activities to the open-world game. The update expands the world of Pywel with sea travel, underwater exploration, customizable housing, rentable shops, new quests and additional ways to build relationships with non-player characters.
The update adds ships as a new type of mount. Players can build or buy a vessel, install additional parts and use it to travel between islands. The new maritime content includes unexplored islands, sunken ruins, hidden loot and treasure maps. Ships can also be used to trade goods at sea, giving the new travel system an economic function alongside exploration.
New ocean and underwater activities
Underwater areas are also part of the update. Players have a limited amount of time to remain below the surface, although an upgraded diving suit can extend that duration. Food can provide additional help with holding the character’s breath, and the A.T.A.G. can be used underwater when the necessary equipment is equipped.
Pearl Abyss has added underwater mounts as well. Some of these creatures can be tamed and brought into the player’s collection of mounts after the player earns their trust. The update also adds new islands and underwater locations to explore, expanding the available activities beyond the main land-based areas.
Quests, homes and shops
Three characters receive individual questlines in the update: Kliff, Oongka and Damiane. These quests become available through the Journal after players complete the main story quest “Journey’s End.” The update also introduces new foes and encounters connected to the expanded content.
The housing system now allows players to design their own home by placing structural elements such as walls and windows. Players can also decorate two castles. In addition, freed strongholds can support rentable businesses, including food shops, sawmills, smithies and tailor shops. These facilities continue operating while the player is away, and special guests may visit them.
- Ships can be built or purchased, customized with parts and used for sea trading.
- Diving adds underwater exploration, equipment upgrades, food-based breath extensions and underwater A.T.A.G. use.
- Housing supports custom construction and decoration for two castles.
- Stronghold shops include food shops, sawmills, smithies and tailor shops.
Relationships and camp activities
Update 2.04.00 expands the trust system for relationships with NPCs. Players can flirt, give gifts and talk with characters to increase trust. Some NPCs can eventually be asked to marry the player. A spouse can live with the player, travel alongside them and provide gifts, while a barber shop allows the player to change the spouse’s appearance.
Players can also hold festivals at their camp. Characters who trust the player may attend, and these visits provide another way to increase trust. Some guests can become honorary members of the Greymanes. The update therefore connects the new social systems with camp management and the player’s broader activities in Pywel.
Pearl Abyss’ update also adds new housing layouts and recipes, alongside the new quests, creatures, shops, sea routes and relationship options. Title Update 2.04.00 is available now for Crimson Desert Enhanced.
