Retro Atari Remake I, Robot Is Out Now On PlayStation VR2

Atari and Jeff Minter’s remake of traditional arcade shooter I, Robotic is now out there on PlayStation VR2.

Revealed again in February, I, Robotic is a brand new retro revival by veteran writer Atari with Jeff Minter’s UK-based studio Llamasoft. That includes 55 ranges, distinctive bonus levels, procedural music and on-line leaderboards, this arcade-like recreation sees you play as an ox-headed robotic decided to outwit the all-seeing eye inside a psychedelic kaleidoscopic visualizer.

Throughout GDC 2025, our video producer Don Hopper interviewed Atari whereas going hands-on with the PlayStation VR2 model. We’re aiming to carry you our full impressions as quickly as we will, however till then, you may watch the interview above to be taught extra.

The unique I, Robotic recreation first appeared in 1983, which was designed by the Missile Command and Tempest creator, David Theurer. This new remake is on the market on most flatscreen platforms, although there is not any information on a Quest launch or VR help for the PS4 or Steam variations.

I, Robotic is on the market now for $14.99 on PlayStation VR2 and flatscreen platforms.
