Developer Eskil Team has announced that the martial arts title Acts of Blood is coming to PC on December 4th. The studio has also confirmed that it is working on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions, slated for release in 2027. The announcement was made with a brand-new trailer, which you can check out below.

The studio has also announced that it is working with publisher Big Fan Games to release Acts of Blood. The Devolver Digital subsidiary has been working closely with Eskil Team as the studio got ready to release the game.

Acts of Blood was first unveiled during a previous Summer Game Fest. The 3D action-adventure game got a trailer in June last year showcasing how its martial arts combat system would work. Along with this, the studio also confirmed that protagonist Hendra is being played by Luqman Ski.

The story of Acts of Blood revolves around Hendra setting off on a personal quest for revenge when other avenues of justice have failed. This journey, largely taking place through the streets of Bandapa, Indonesia, will pit Hendra against a powerful group that ultimately pulled the strings, resulting in the murder of the hero’s family.

The core gameplay will further feed into this story, with players having to learn and improve Hendra’s various martial arts skills to take on more powerful foes. The combat will involve a variety of strike combos, blocks, and counters, as well as a host of bone-crushing finishers. There is an emphasis on forcing players to quickly read the situation and execute the most effective strategy they can come up with on the fly to take down the waves of enemies they will be forced to fight.

Along with this, the environment is also set to play a big role in the gameplay, since Hendra can use a variety of tools in the midst of battles. While his core capabilities largely revolve around hand-to-hand combat, Hendra can also use melee weapons and firearms to even the odds as he faces down hordes of enemies. Similarly, Hendra can make use of environmental objects like tables and walls to deal more damage to his foes.

Interestingly, Acts of Blood also offers plenty of customization options, with players being able to unlock a host of cosmetic items throughout their quest for vengeance. This includes a variety of clothing items like hats, shirts, jackets, and pants, giving players a chance to make sure that, despite all of the violence taking place, Hendra looks sharp.

Acts of Blood is going to be Eskil Team’s first game, and the team has been quite confident about its core systems. The studio released a demo some time ago that has seen fairly positive reviews. Over time, the team has worked to incorporate elements of player feedback into the game, releasing several updates that have further refined things like the visual style and performance. The most recent of these updates came in April this year, bringing with it a host of new animations and additions to Hendra’s moveset.
