Naughty Dog promised some surprises for The Last of Us Day, and though you shouldn’t expect a new game announcement, Ghost of Yōtei players will have something to look forward to. Launching on the same day as the Completion Edition is an armor set based on the infamous Clickers, complete with a master.
It unlocks by playing the new Most Wanted mode, which is free for all players, and can be used in the base game, Legends, and the new Echoes of Sekigahara expansion. The helm features the telltale spore-like growth that’s the Clicker’s most identifying trait. How does Atsu see out of it? Don’t worry about it.
Similar growths on the right shoulder and bracers are visible, while the rest of the outfit sports an overall black-and-purple color scheme. Will it have any notable perks? Is this the base version, and if there are upgrades, will they look even wilder?
Time will, but it’s a nice bonus for existing players (and may incentivize The Last of Us fans to try the series). Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition launches on October 1st alongside Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted. Even if you’re not keen on a new adventure with Atsu in a new region, the new rogue-like survival mode is worth a look, since it includes Ghost of Tsushima’s Jin Sakai as a playable character.
