Sure, if you’re playing The Division 2 with any regularity, you’re already dealing with a ruined Washington, D.C. But what if it was a ruined Washington, D.C. that was also cold and snowy? That’s part of the hook for the upcoming Division 2 Survivors, which basically takes the Survival mode from the first Division shooter and transforms it into its own standalone game.
Ubisoft calls the game “a winter survival experience set in a transformed Washington, D.C., where the environment can be just as dangerous as the enemies you encounter,” with each run offering different weather, times of day, loot, routes, and extraction points to make sure no run is exactly alike. The game can be played in either PvE or PvP as well, just in case anyone was gunshy about playing a mode where you’re already not well-armed and well-geared.
Information about this new game isn’t otherwise available in terms of group sizes, multiplayer features, and other related mechanics, as Ubisoft does call this one very much work-in-progress.
