We didn’t really bother with reporting on Solasta II before now because the turn-based tactical RPG’s early access was single-player only despite noting multiplayer gameplay back in 2024. But now, developer Tactical Adventures has introduced its promised multiplayer feature to the game. So now we can pay attention to it a bit more closely.
According to a related dev blog, bringing multiplayer to the TTRPG-like experience was always part of its DNA, and so it’s been introduced during early access rather than post-launch like the first game did. This multiplayer mode doesn’t appear to be tacked-on either: Players can easily join sessions, select characters or make their own to join in, make decisions as a group, and can move freely out of combat.
The update has also introduced the Warlock class to the game, added 30 new world events, offered more character customization options, made some new spell component rules, and even added requested features like in-game dice rolling for stats and cloud saving. The patch notes spell it all out along with several other changes and fixes.
