Welcome back to another roundup of MMOs and MMO-adjacent multiplayer games you’ve never heard of! We’ve got another wild ‘n’ wacky cocktail of themes and gameplay flavors for this collection, so let’s go ahead and get right into it!

Elegon

Hey, looky here, it’s another solo-developed MMORPG! Say hello to Elegon, an open world that seeks to hearken back to the old days of the genre and focuses itself almost entirely on exploration and cooperation. Players can expect quests, dungeons, raids, and character progression that focuses on lots of stats, alongside crafting and gathering professions to learn. The game is offering a 24/7 Steam playtest, just know that developer Keone does say that AI generation is used for “a small number of assets.” (Cheers, nomatter!)

Idle Clans

Up next on this list is Idle Clans, which we’ve covered in this news digest earlier this year. This idle MMO game for PC and mobile has recently made several updates of note that include the expansion of the carpentry skill, a friends list, improvements to chat, and updates to the game’s push notifications, among several other things. While still in early access, the game is playable on Steam, iOS, and Android.

Interstellar Empires

Finally we’ve got Interstellar Empires, which should be pretty easy to determine its whole deal on name alone: This 4X strategy browser MMO sees players carving out their place in a persistent world through trade, alliances, or just straight-up war as one might expect, along with a portal network that sees players using portal addresses to send ground forces, find hidden locations, or arrive to other players. This one’s in open beta and is angling for a full release soon™.
