Welcome back to another roundup of MMOs and MMO-adjacent multiplayer games you’ve never heard of! Though if you’re a regular reader of this semi-regular news digest, at least one of these game’s names will strike familiar to you. Speaking of which, we’ll begin with…

Nin Online

…which is the MMO that we first reported on last year; this is a pixel art FFA PvP game that promises to bring a “very hardcore” open world of digital ninjas. Since then, the free-to-play game has had some updates, the most recent of which added a new Land of Spirits mission arc that takes people to the mysterious Yokai Village, raised the MMO’s level cap, and brought new skills, craftable items, and daily missions.

Velderis

Next up is Velderis, a free browser MMO set in a fantasy world where players can explore the world, delve dungeons, and compete with one another in PvP. It all sounds extremely simplistic in its description on both the game’s site and an introductory Reddit thread, though replies to that thread complain about an energy system that can be refilled with dollarbux and accuse of it being vibecoded. So maybe watch the video below to know for sure on this one.

War of Continents

Last on our list is War of Continents, another browser-based “dark strategy world” where players attempt to establish a settlement, grow into a civilization, and send out heroes to grow in elemental power in what’s self-described as a slower paced strategic title. It should be pointed out that this one is linked to a cryptocurrency that lets players “mint” land and heroes, but starting the game no longer requires a wallet while granting new arrivals one land and two heroes for free. Surely that will keep things fair and competitive against those who are lost to this hollow tech.
