Blizzard Entertainment gave Overwatch fans a sneak peek at the game’s new hero, Shion, earlier this week. But her hero kit has remained something of a mystery — until now. A new gameplay trailer for Shion released Thursday shows just what the Omnic Hashimoto clan gangster is capable of. I mean this without irony: Wait ’til you see her on her bike.
Shion’s primary weapons are a pair of ornately decorated Kira Pistols, which she can fire individually, like a blend of Reaper and Cassidy’s primary fire abilities, or unleash as a concentrated, multi-shot Execution spray that’s devastating enough to take down a Reinhardt. Shion also has a cinematic quick-dodge move that will help her avoid incoming fire. A move that appears to be Shion’s ultimate ability sends her flying at foes, taking them down with a spinning dash move that shocks whoever it hits.
Perhaps most surprising is that Shion will actually use the Akira-inspired motorcycle seen in her reveal trailer in battle. Shion is shown riding on the back of her bike through Overwatch‘s new Tokyo map, then launching it at enemies. In one instance, she ghost-rides the bike directly at a Cassidy, taking him down. In another shot, she launches it into the sky at Pharah, kick-jumping off the motorcycle.
Shortly after her gameplay reveal, Blizzard fully detailed Shion’s hero kit.

Blizzard has already added Domina (Tank), Anran (Damage), Emre (Damage), Jetpack Cat (Support), Mizuki (Support), and Sierra (Damage) in 2026. There’ll be three more heroes released this calendar year.
Shion will be added to Overwatch on June 16, alongside the launch of season 3, titled Into the Tiger’s Den.
Overwatch is available on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
