Forza Horizon 6 Showcases An Array of Gorgeous Sights in Japan’s Lowlands

As we await the next in-depth look at Forza Horizon 6, Playground Games has offered 28 seconds of new in-engine footage. However, the focus is less on the actual racing and more on Japan’s countryside, specifically the lowlands.

Flat plains meet bamboo forests where the sunlight peeks through, and on days with rainfall, the tarmac becomes appropriately damp. In Spring, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, scattering the roads and doubtless re-scattering when players pull through at high speeds. And while Mt. Fuji is still only visible from a distance, the surrounding forests and slopes make for a stunning sight.

As one user noted, however, “Where’s the snow?” Contrary to previous titles where snowfall was seasonal, Japan’s Alpine regions will feature snow throughout the year. It’s one of those elements that further enhances the realism while still ensuring enough variation throughout each season. And, of course, the “feel” of Japan is apparent throughout.

Forza Horizon 6 launches on May 19th for Xbox Series X/S and PC (later this year for PS5), but purchasing the Premium Edition provides four days of early access. Game Pass subscribers can purchase the Premium Upgrade Bundle for the same benefits, but it costs $60 – only $10 less than the Standard Edition. Head here for more details and to learn what DLC will (and won’t) be available at launch.

There will be snow year-round in the Alpine region!
