Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase Announced for February 5th

As rumored in previous weeks, Nintendo will host a Direct Partner Showcase on February 5th. Airing at 6 AM PST, it will run for about 30 minutes and offer new details on upcoming Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 games.

Being a Partner Showcase means that the focus is predominantly on third-party offerings. It’s a pretty wide net, but given Bloober Team’s recent countdown website, we wouldn’t be surprised if its next project (potentially the Switch 2-exclusive Project M) received its first trailer.

While the next generation of Pokémon won’t appear, we’ll likely see Pokémon Pokopia, the life sim from Omega Force. After all, AAA Studio showcased Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment at the July 2025 Partner Showcase. Sure, it’s not quite third-party, but the keyword in this case is “Partner.”

Capcom may also make an appearance, potentially announcing a release date for the Switch 2 demo of Pragmata and dropping a new trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection (launching on March 13th). However, this may finally mark the announcement of Monster Hunter Wilds for the Switch 2, especially after datamining allegedly unearthed its frame rate, resolution, and more.

Either way, it should provide a closer look at Nintendo’s release schedule for the coming months, so stay tuned for more details and live coverage.
