007 First Light hasn’t even been out a full two weeks and already DLC has been announced for it. As revealed at Summer Game Fest on Friday, the new James Bond game will receive a story DLC mission starring pirate king Bawma.
Bawma is played by singer and actor Lenny Kravitz. He was featured in pre-release marketing, and fans wondered if he’d be James Bond’s nemesis in the game. Instead, he only showed up in one level midway through the game. He’s the pirate king of Aleph, a haven for criminals (and a certain MI6 defector).
In the upcoming DLC, players will travel to Aleph to aid Bawma, who requested Bond specifically. The teaser doesn’t offer much more than that. The mission could have something to do with Bawma’s sister Harmony; he’s been searching for her for years, and MI6 knows her location.
We’ve been enjoying our time with James Bond’s origin story. “007 First Light is an incredibly shiny, well-polished game that truly lives up to its name,” we wrote in our review.
007 First Light was released to critical acclaim and positioned itself as a game of the year contender straight away. It’s available on PlayStation, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. It will come to Nintendo Switch 2 sometime later in the year.
A release date for the Bawma DLC was not given beyond “later this year.”

Maybe every game should start as an action movie?
