Regardless of venturing into publishing on different platforms and the hand held house, Microsoft stays dedicated to next-generation Xbox {hardware}. Xbox president Sarah Bond revealed that the corporate, alongside AMD, have entered a brand new multi-year partnership to “co-engineer silicon throughout a portfolio of units, together with our next-generation Xbox consoles — in your lounge, and, in your palms.”

“At Xbox, our imaginative and prescient is so that you can play the video games you need, with the folks you need, anyplace you need. That’s why we’re investing in our next-generation {hardware} lineup throughout console, handheld, PC, cloud, and equipment,” stated Bond. Which appears like the corporate continues to be pursuing a handheld Xbox, regardless of rumors of its shelving.

Bond added that the 2 corporations are “advancing the cutting-edge in gaming silicon to ship the following technology of graphics innovation to unlock a deeper degree of visible high quality and immersive gameplay and participant experiences enhanced with the facility of AI. All whereas sustaining compatibility along with your present library of Xbox video games.”

To that finish, it needs to create a platform that’s “all the time with you” for taking part in video games “throughout units and anyplace you need.” The opposite attention-grabbing bit revolves round “delivering an Xbox expertise designed for gamers” that isn’t “locked to a single retailer or tied to 1 system.” This ties into rumors of the next-generation Xbox letting you put in Steam and the Epic Video games Retailer.

“That’s why we’re working intently with the Home windows workforce to make sure that Home windows is the primary platform for gaming. The subsequent technology of Xbox is coming to life. And that is just the start. We are able to’t wait to point out you what’s subsequent.”
