VPNs are never going to be the cheapest commodity – they’re fairly complex pieces of software which are dependent on the upkeep of thousands of servers all over the world. So when the Cyber Monday VPN deals roll into town, you’ve got a rare opportunity to nab one and secure your internet privacy without having to sell one of your kidneys.
All of the best VPN services get involved with the Black Friday/Cyber Monday festivities, and I’ve gone through all of this year’s offers to save you trawling through the internet to find bargains. We’ve got reviews of them all as well, plus an overview for anyone who doesn’t have time to read a whole review. Anyway, to the deals.

NordVPN
In our NordVPN review, Christian Cawley scored it 9/10 and said, “I’m happy to recommend [it] thanks to a combination of fast speeds, a huge feature set, constantly growing global server pools, and a really competitive price.” It remains a popular choice because it is easy to use, has servers in loads of countries, is broadly compatible with most games and services, and hasn’t been involved in any big privacy scandals.
Right now, NordVPN is available at what works out as $2.99 / £2.29 per month if you go for the basic plan. That’s a 74% discount when you compare it to the price of a single month. Keep in mind that you have to pay for the whole two-year plan in one go (which costs $80.73 / £61.83), but you do get three free months thrown in as a bonus right now as well to sweeten the deal.

ExpressVPN
Another giant of the VPN world. In our ExpressVPN review, Christian said that it was “Easy to set up and easy to use, [it] performs so well that you forget it’s even there – exactly what you’re after from a VPN.” Anyone who’s struggled with a slower free VPN will know exactly what he is talking about here.
ExpressVPN is admittedly the most expensive of the popular VPNs, but what’s particularly cool about it is the TrustedServer system, which makes it impossible for its servers to write anything about what its users do while it’s on. Right now, you can get 75% off its two-year plan, bringing the price down to $4.49 / £3.49 per month ($97.72 / £69.72 paid up front), with four months thrown in for free.

Surfshark
Surfshark stands out from many of the other VPNs because of the fact that it lets users have unlimited simultaneous connections. In our Surfshark review, Christian described it as “a high-performing VPN with an excellent feature set. It’s great for securing your connection, streaming content, and circumventing the government’s internet restrictions.”
Despite offering something really cool with all those connections and having no major controversies in its past, Surfshark is already one of the cheaper VPNs. Thanks to the deal season, it’s now even more affordable, and you can get it for what works out as $1.99 / £1.49 a month ($53.73 / £40.23 up front) with three free months thrown in.

CyberGhost
Although it can be a little slower with distant servers, Christian still described it as “an excellent VPN service” in our CyberGhost review. It’s also the only service to offer a 45-day money-back guarantee, meaning that you’ve got more time to try it out before you are permanently committed to a whole two-year plan.
For Cyber Monday, not only is the 2-year plan 85% off when compared to the cost of a single month, but you get four extra months added as a bonus. In total, that works out as if you were paying $2.03/ £1.78 a month, which is $56.94 / £49.92 in one go.
As these deals have been made for the Black Friday / Cyber Monday season, it is not likely that they will last much longer. Make sure you don’t miss your chance to protect your online privacy for cheap if you’re planning to pick one up.
