As we noted in a recent MOP Up, this week has introduced a new addition to the wider MU Online set of MMOARPGs. And yes, this one is another mobile edition on top. Say hello to MU: Dark Awakening, brought to us by WEBZEN, Tianma, and Fingerfun. No snickering.
“Carrying forward the nostalgia and passion shared by millions of players, MU: Dark Awakening faithfully recreates classic gameplay while upgrading the battlefield experience. Featuring adrenaline-fueled cross-server battles, guild competitions that require true teamwork, AFK rewards, and free player to player trading, this game delivers a free and diverse dark fantasy MMO experience. Only the strongest can claim glory, reshape destiny, and decide the fate of the land…”
Dark Awakening features three different classes that players can switch to on the fly, multiple opportunities for massive battles including sieges and arenas with cross-server matchmaking, and the ability to “earn substantial experience and resources while offline” that lets players achieve top flight gear quickly and easily. Presumably so they can leap into those aforementioned massive battles.
The game is now available for players on iOS and Android in a launch that is marked with celebratory login rewards that include a unique title, rare mounts, and limited-time avatars. Feel free to check it out if this happens to be your bag. Also, please stop snickering about the company name Fingerfun; we can still hear you.
