Looking for a side dish of an online extraction RPG to investigate this week? If you’ve got $25 to spare, you could grab Eldegarde, a self-billed “mini-MMO” that launched into early access a year ago and is now moving into its full 1.0 release on Wednesday. The servers are going down on Wednesday afternoon for a few hours, during which “all progress gained during Season 3 will be wiped.”
“Eldegarde is a third-person action PvPvE RPG featuring distinctive fantasy classes. Go on adventures solo or with friends to search for treasures, level up, and defeat any who stand in your way,” Notorious Studios shared.
While the name “Eldegarde” might seem fresh and new, it’s actually a bit of a PR rebranding, as the game used to be called Legacy: Steel and Sorcery that was originally announced back in fall 2024 as a project made by former World of Warcraft devs.
