Assassin’s Creed Franchise Head Marc-Alexis Côté Has Left Ubisoft

The individual appearing as the pinnacle of the Murderer’s Creed franchise, Marc-Alexis Côté, has left Ubisoft. In accordance with a report by IGN, Côté’s departure appears to have come from the views of the management at recently-established firm Vantage Studios not being in alignment with him. The report additionally notes that Côté was provided a management place at Vantage Studios earlier than his departure.

Co-CEO of Vantage Studios, Christophe Derennes, has reportedly expressed disappointment in gentle of Côté leaving the corporate, noting that he “had his personal expectations and priorities associated to Vantage Studios’ creation and future.” In a press release, Ubisoft acknowledged his departure and expressed gratitude for his management function for the Murderer’s Creed franchise.

“Following the organizational restructuring introduced in March 2025, Marc-Alexis Côté has chosen to pursue a brand new path elsewhere exterior of Ubisoft,” a spokesperson from Ubisoft stated in a press release. “Whereas we’re saddened to see him go, we’re assured that our gifted groups will carry ahead the sturdy basis he helped construct.”

Côté has labored with Ubisoft on a number of tasks since he first joined the corporate again in 2005, together with titles like Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. His contribution to the Murderer’s Creed franchise began with 2010’s Murderer’s Creed Brotherhood on which he served as degree designer.
