No Rest for the Wicked Drops New Details On 1.0’s Class System and More

No Rest for the Wicked might be a while away from its 1.0 release thanks to its recent delay, but Moon Studios hasn’t let that stop it from getting excited about what that extra time will go into.

A new Wicked Inside Showcase highlights what the update brings to the table, and there’s interesting stuff to unpack. We’re beginning with the flexible class system, which lets you equip one of many weapons to immediately alter your playstyle, mixing and matching traits to create a character that truly feels like an extension of you. That’s obviously great in a game with so much potential for player expression already, and the class system will surely show us takes on Cerim that look and feel powerful enough to inspire the rest of us.

The new factions are another major draw, and we’re intrigued looking at the game’s world through the eyes of an Assassin from the Severed Hand, among others. Cerim Cores are another interesting wrinkle that bring some risk and reward to your build crafting. New environments, factions, bosses, and refinements are also on the way. We’ve left the showcase below and a link to our thoughts on the launch of early access, in case you’re interested in learning more.
