When you return to Control Resonant’s Oldest House to complete the Fault there, you’ll be making your way through the testing rooms with Zoe, when you get locked in a yellow room with a load of red electricity boxes. There’s a puzzle you need to complete to continue the House in Distress quest in Control Resonant, so here’s what you need to do.
How to complete the electricity box puzzle in The House in Distress
It’ll be clear that you need to turn particular electricity boxes on to open the door and get out. Interestingly, there are actually three stages to this puzzle, and you need to activate different boxes each time. The boxes work like others in Control Resonant. You just need to attack them to transfer the charge from the box to your weapon, and vice versa.
The solution to the puzzle is hidden in the four displays on the walls of the room. You’ll notice that each screen has nine sections, and they’re either greyed out or have dots/lines on them. If you combine the four screens, you’ll be able to work out which boxes need to be activated. The ones with black dots in are the ones that need to be live for that stage. Below are the solutions for the three tests.
- Test One
- Activate the top left, top right, and middle bottom boxes
- Test Two
- Activate the top left, top right, bottom left, and bottom right boxes
- Test Three
- Activate the top middle, central, bottom middle, left middle, and right middle boxes
Once you’ve done that, the screens around the room will turn green, and the door to the room will open. You can return to Zoe and continue the quest.
