The mixed reality experience from writer Andy Weir launches on Quest, Pico, and Android XR this fall.
Maze Theory has released a new trailer showing the first extended look at gameplay from their upcoming immersive mixed reality game Project Hail Mary: Journey Among the Stars.
Coming to “major MR and VR platforms” this fall, the game is developed in collaboration with Andy Weir, author of The Martian and Project Hail Mary, and is a completely new chapter in the Project Hail Mary story.
You’ll play as Ryland Grace, the main protagonist of Weir’s novel and the character played by Ryan Gosling in the recently released film adaptation, as you experience a critical moment in the Hail Mary mission. The ship’s systems are failing, and it’s up to you to diagnose and solve the problem with the help of your friend Rocky, the alien intelligence whose partnership with Grace defines the story’s emotional core.
You’ll build a relationship with Rocky, bond over the course of the experience, and use your scientific and engineering skills to keep the Hail Mary intact and bring your world-saving cargo to Rocky’s home planet.
