Developers Evil Empire and Motion Twin seem proud of the talented actors they’ve brought together for the English cast of Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse.
Abby Trott’s leading the adventure as Rose Belmont, and you might know her from a bunch of anime appearances, including The Seven Deadly Sins, or as Pod 153 in NieR: Automata. JB Blanc voices Trevor Belmont, and if you’re familiar with his work as Hagrid in the Harry Potter games, you already know he has the gravitas to pull off an older version of the hero we know and love.
Similarly experienced names are behind characters like Camilla (Dawn M. Bennett), Medusa (Melique Berger), Death (Aaron LaPlante), and Dracula (Graham McTavish). However, it’s Liam O’ Brien who steals the show as Isaac, an unhinged member of Dracula’s inner circle who seems intent on preventing the Belmonts from getting anywhere near his master. He’s a name that needs no introduction, but you might recognize him as the voice behind Gollum in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War.
A new trailer showcases much of what the cast brings to their respective characters. It’s worth a watch ahead of the title’s October 15th launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
