With all of its Classes covered and some slick co-op gameplay, Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 has shifted to focus on the enemies you’ll encounter, namely the Xenomorphs. As the Colonial Marines’ primary threat, their roster has new and familiar faces, though they’re all ugly regardless.
You have the classic Drones, who swarm players and attack before quickly getting away, and usually navigate environments through the vents. The Facehuggers are different, hanging out on floors or near some eggs. Flamethrowers are a good solution, but if you attach to you, a well-timed shot from a teammate can take them out.
The Warden is new and is skilled at melee combat. Don’t let its appearance fool you, as it can move surprisingly fast and even fire acid from afar. And if you don’t want to attract a slew of Xenomorphs, take out the Siren ASAP since it will scream for backup.
Xenomorphs generally dislike fire, but carrying a combination of different weapons, be it firearms and explosives, is the key to beating them (or at least living to fight another horde). Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is out on August 25th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Cold Iron Studios drops dossiers on the Synths and Pathogen-afflicted foes.
