Control Resonant Cast Members Will Host a Panel at San Diego Comic-Con on July 25th

Developer Remedy Entertainment has announced that it will be hosting a panel for Control Resonant at San Diego Comic-Con. Slated to take place on July 25th from 6:30pm to 7:30 pm Pacific Time, the panel will feature four of the game’s cast members – Sean Durrie (Dylan Faden), Courtney Hope (Jesse Faden), Frankie Kevich (Zoe de Vera), and Matthew Porretta (Dr. Casper Darling).

While no further details have been revealed about what will be showcased during the panel and whether we’ll get to see a new trailer, the studio has confirmed that the cast will get together to discuss their characters and their experience of working on the upcoming title.

Control Resonant was officially unveiled back in December 2025 during The Game Awards with a trailer revealing that Dylan will be taking over from Jesse as its main protagonist. The title is also expected to be quite a bit more ambitious than its predecessor, with the Hiss having spread out after its incursion into the Oldest House into the entirety of Manhattan.

Co-creative director Mikael Kasurinen revealed shortly after the game’s announcement that it is going to be an open-ended game with “expansive zones” that include branching missions, optional encounters, and events that can be taken on in non-linear ways. “This world is alive, strange, and replayable – full of discoveries that reward curiosity and exploration,” he said, also noting that it is “our boldest step yet in expanding the Control universe.”

The studio offered further statements about its ambition with Control Resonant, noting that it wanted to challenge itself “to make the biggest and most ambitious game we’ve ever made.” It went on to say that it isn’t a safe sequel and that the studio wants to “push the boundaries” of what it can do.

More recently, Kasurinen also revealed that a full playthrough of Control Resonant will take longer than it did for Control. He went on to confirm that the title’s narrative structure is split into distinct chapters. However, players will find that it “doesn’t feel like that”.

As for some of the biggest inspirations for the gameplay of Control Resonant, Kasurinen namedropped DOOM (2016) and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. This means that players can expect fast-paced gameplay that keeps them on their toes, as well as some fairly challenging encounters.

However, he went on to note that players don’t have to worry about getting blocked from continuing the main story due to difficult bosses, since “many of them are optional”. Along with this, he confirmed that the optional encounters in the game can be done out of order.

On the narrative side of things, Remedy has said that Control Resonant’s inspirations include X-Files, the Southern Reach series, Annihilation, Roadside Picnic, and Stalker. Kasurinen has confirmed that one of the central themes of the upcoming title will be about gaining “control over your life”.

Control Resonant is being developed for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S and is slated for release on September 24th. For more on the game, check out our thoughts on why it might finally be the game to scratch the InFamous itch.
