Sony has announced that it will be attending San Diego Comic-Con 2026, with planned panels that showcase three of its upcoming games – Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, Marvel’s Wolverine, and God of War Laufey. The first two titles will have panels on July 23rd, with each being 45 minutes in length, while God of War Laufey’s panel will take place on July 24th and will be an hour in length.

The panel for Marvel’s Wolverine, dubbed Deep Cuts, will feature creative director Marcus Smith, game director Mike Daly, narrative director Walt Williams, and senior project director Jess Reiner-Reed from the development team, and actors Liam McIntyre (Wolverine) and Krizia Bajos (Jean Grey). The panel will also include Marvel Games executive producer Eric Monacelli, along with Naomi Kyle moderating the whole thing.

The Deep Cuts panel will unveil brand-new details about Marvel’s Wolverine, along with behind-the-scenes looks at its main story and characters. It is also set to feature “exclusive never-before-seen content,” which indicates that a new trailer might be released leading up to the PS5-exclusive’s September 15th release date.

The panel for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, titled Behind the Battle, will be moderated by fighting game commentator and streamer Sajam and will feature game producer Takeshi Yamanaka and localization director Amber Seitz from Arc System Works, along with Marvel Games senior product development manager Michael Francisco. It will focus on the development of Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls and how the concept came into being. There will also be details about where the Marvel Tōkon setting sits in the greater Marvel Universe.

Voice actor Josh Keaton (Iron Man and Spider-Man) and artist and illustrator Mike Deodato (known for his work on Knights of Doom and other Marvel comics) will also be at the panel to show some of the behind-the-scenes details about the upcoming fighting game. Along with this, Sony has also said that there are surprise announcements planned for the panel. Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is coming to PC and PS5 on August 6th.

The God of War Laufey panel, dubbed Forging God of War’s Next Heroes, will feature game director Ariel Lawrence, Santa Monica Studio’s head of creative Cory Barlog, and actors Deborah Ann Woll (Laufey), Christopher Judge (Kratos), Jack Quaid (Phranque), and Perlina Lau (Rue) discussing the title publicly for the first time since the title was officially unveiled. New details about the title will also be revealed, and there are going to be behind-the-scenes insights about the game’s development and performance capture work.

God of War Laufey is being developed exclusively for PS5 and doesn’t yet have a release date. However, rumors have indicated that Santa Monica Studio is quite far along in development and that the title could come out as early as February or March 2027.

Of these three games, God of War Laufey was the most recently announced. While it will be a side story that focuses on the post-death adventures of Kratos’ wife Faye, Santa Monica Studio has noted that it isn’t leaving the franchise’s traditional protagonist behind, and that it still has “many more stories” to tell about him.
