Faction | Native region | Units | Playstyle |
|---|---|---|---|
Temple | Grass |
| This human faction offers a good balance between melee and ranged attacks. They mainly rely on buffs. The Righteousness Hero skill boosts the Hero’s attack, defense, spell power, and knowledge whenever a friendly creature dies or kills an enemy. |
Necropolis | Deathlands |
| This army of the dead predominantly uses melee units. They’ll get skills like Vampirism to restore HP based on the damage dealt. Upon victory, this faction can use Necromancy to revive and recruit a portion of the defeated army. |
Grove | Autumn |
| A faction of rangers and druids, the Grove is blessed with many strong (and many ranged) attacks. Heroes can use Murmuring to get a free Focus Charge at the start of a battle. |
Hive | Lava |
| The insect faction is fast and aggressive. Using the Summon Swarm skill, this faction can drop eggs on the battlefield, which will hatch in the next round. The hatchling Fire Larvae receive HP based on a percentage of the Hive Spawns total HP. |
Schism | Snow |
| This faction of cultists is all about overrunning the enemy with their ever-expanding army. Through Abyssal Communion, every consecutive victory expands their number of units in the next battle, but every morning resets the effect. |
Dungeon | Dirt |
| The faction of dark elves and underground creatures is known for their versatility, as each unit has two attack types. Through Triumvirate’s Strength, the Hero can choose between three active stances, which increase the Hero’s attack, defense, or spellpower. |
