Indie MMORPG developers come in all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds, but we’ve got to say that, at least in terms of scope to team size, one of the most precious and impressive sounding ones comes from a father and daughter duo that’s been working on Little Potion Garden, a free-to-play MMO that can be played on browsers either on PC or on mobile.

Little Potion Garden comes from Aaron, a self-described MMO fan and developer from Sydney, Australia, who handles the majority of the game’s creation, and his 11-year-old daughter, who creates the game’s artwork. Aaron does admit that some AI-generated work does get used, but also assures fans that they’re placeholder until his daughter creates original art at her own pace.

As for the game itself, it’s billed as a cozy MMO that’s all about alchemical potion making, herb growing, and discovery of recipes, all without the pressure of grind or FOMO. Players can also discover towns, unlock rewards, solve puzzles, and plumb dungeons. As mentioned, it’s free-to-play but does have “optional premium” on offer, including what appear to be some unique cauldron skins.

The game’s next planned update promises its first two-player dungeon that’s “small, puzzle‑y, meant to be something you can jump into with a friend, a partner, a random player without needing to use your brain too much.” Again, sounds pretty precious to us overall, even if it is using AI-generated placeholder work until Aaron’s daughter can fill in the blanks.
