Styx: Blades of Greed is Brimming With Fresh Tools and Stealth Options in New Gameplay

After suffering a sudden delay to February 2026, Cyanide’s Styx: Blades of Greed is back with some raw, extensive gameplay. Everyone’s least favorite goblin thief is working with a crew this time – the Black Hand from Of Orcs and Men – and planning out heists to obtain Quartz from the Inquisition’s clutches.

One such mission takes him to the Wall Fortress – a foreboding, multi-layered structure with guards everywhere. Close combat has never been Styx’s forte, but he has plenty of new tools this time around, including a grappling hook. Of course, there’s still plenty of poisoning, assassination, and mine laying to be had, especially when it comes to obtaining a stamped document to access the lift.

But what makes Blades of Greed stand out is the sheer number of options it gives you. If you’re not keen on taking the lift, then simply risk climbing up the Wall itself, even if it’s far more arduous. And while you could take out all the guards, one by one, to clear a way to the lift, maybe a brief invisibility spell will work better. Worst comes to worst, you could mind control someone and have them walk off a ledge.

The Wall Fortress is one of three massive sandboxes that Styx will explore while conducting his heists, but they may not all be easy-going. Another massive airship attacks the crew’s Zeppelin, and their fate is left unknown.

Styx: Blades of Greed launches on February 19th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Check out even more stealth gameplay here.
