The Arc Raiders ‘Paving The Way’ quest was added to the game as part of the recent Cold Snap update, but you need to have completed most of the existing quests before you’ll get access to it. I know that because despite having 70+ hours in Arc Raiders, I put off doing some of the more complex quests in favor of hunting Arc machines and other players alike, so it took me a couple of days grinding quests to unlock ‘Paving The Way’.
Alas, here we are, and ‘Paving The Way’ will have you looking for an Enelica building and a Convinio, whatever the heck those are. Here’s what you need to know about how to complete ‘Paving The Way’, the new quest offered by Apollo in Arc Raiders.
‘Paving The Way’ quest walkthrough in Arc Raiders
There are two main steps to this quest, and while the quest description in-game states you can find an Enelica building in Buried City, from our experience and other reports from players online, that doesn’t seem to be true. So you’ll need to complete ‘Paving The Way’ in two separate runs, but since you don’t need to pick up or extract any items, you can do these with free loadouts.
Go to any Enelica building
Our recommendation for where to find an Enelica building is on Dam Battlegrounds, aka the easiest map in Arc Raiders, because it’s marked on the map. All you need to do is go to Water Treatment Control and find the main entrance. On the outside of the building, to the right-hand side of the front door, you’ll spy a notice board you can interact with. Do this and voilà, your objective is complete. Next up: Buried City.
Reach the top floor above the Convinio in Piazza Roma
You’re given a little more direction here in the sense that Piazza Roma is a marked location on the map, but it consists of quite a few buildings, and what on earth is a Convinio anyway? We still don’t know the answer to the last question — searching for it online doesn’t turn up much — but we do know where you need to go.
South of Piazza Roma — right below the words ‘Piazza Roma’ on the in-game map — are two taller apartment buildings. Head to the southernmost one and climb to the very top floor, but not the roof. You’re looking for the researcher’s flat, which is fairly obvious when you realize their flat is rather big and full of laboratory equipment.
In the apartment, you’ll find a table full of computer terminals to interact with. Do this and congratulations, ‘Paving The Way’ is complete.
