Call it early Cyber Monday or late Black Friday, but this deal for the Sony Inzone M9 II gaming monitor is live right now and offers a huge discount on the original price of this stunning 4K, 27-inch display. In particular, if you want to take full advantage of the PS5’s HDR abilities, this is an ideal option, thanks to its full array local dimming (FALD) backlight that can produce incredibly high contrast images.

This display’s predecessor, the Sony Inzone M9, has long been our choice for the best gaming monitor for HDR, at least when it comes to LCD displays, and this follow-up is a small but notable upgrade in just about every way. You can get the full lowdown on that original display in our Sony Inzone M9 review, but the main takeaways are that its 4K resolution on a tiny 27-inch screen looks amazing, and its 96 backlight dimming zones do a great job of boosting contrast and brightness in HDR.

The key appeal for a display like the Sony Inzone M9 II is if you have your PS5 and other consoles set up at the same gaming desk as your PC, rather than using a living room setup with a TV. Grab a display like this, and you can enjoy the full potential of your PS5’s 4K and HDR output all in a display that is compact and easy to squeeze onto a normal-sized desk. We’d all love to have a giant 49-inch monitor, but a lot of us don’t have room for one.

Running through the core specs of this panel, along with its 27-inch size and 4K resolution that combine to create an incredibly sharp image, you get a 160Hz refresh rate (a small bump up from the 144Hz of its predecessor) and a 1ms response time, for decently fast and smooth gaming. This won’t be the best display for playing ultra-competitive multiplayer shooters, but for any other sort of gaming, it’s plenty fast enough.

Around the back of the panel, you’ll find a stand that offers height, rotation, and tilt adjustment with a style that’s not as eye-catching as the original Inzone M9’s stand, but which is far more practical. You also get one DisplayPort 2.1 and two HDMI 2.1 ports, along with a USB hub with two ports and a headphone jack. It even has a pair of 2W speakers. They’re nothing special in terms of sound quality, but if you otherwise don’t have any desktop speakers, they’re a useful addition.

One thing to note about this deal is that Sony is listing the original price of this display at $949.99, which makes its current $699.99 price a massive $250 saving. In reality, this display has regularly been available for $799.99, so the saving isn’t as large as Sony is making out. However, it is still a great price for this panel. To grab this deal, just head on over to Sony’s store via this link, or you can head over to Amazon via this link and save a further $1.99, although there’s only one left in stock there at the time of writing.
